Maryland Positive Supports

Welcome to the Maryland Positive Supports (MD-PS) website, part of the Tiered Supports Collaborative (TSC), a network of resources and partnerships advancing outcomes for all.

 

The MD-PS website and materials were developed through a contractual partnership with the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (MD DDA) and the University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration (UMN-ICI). The contents do not necessarily represent the policy or positions of the Maryland DDA and should not be assumed to be endorsed by the State. These collaborative efforts aim to promote systems-level and person-centered approaches to positive behavior support across Maryland and beyond.

 

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website and all materials, tools, and resources made available through it. By accessing or using this site, you agree to comply with these Terms and any related policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

Ownership of Materials

Materials developed directly by the Tiered Supports Collaborative (TSC) or created as part of its projects remain the intellectual property of TSC and, where applicable, designated project partners.

 

Materials created in collaboration with the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (MD DDA) and UMN-ICI are governed by the respective terms of those partnerships and are provided for educational and professional use.

License for Use

Unless otherwise noted, materials created by the Tiered Supports Collaborative are shared under a Creative Commons–style Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike license. Under this license:

  • You may use, copy, adapt, and share the materials for educational, training, or organizational purposes.

  • You must provide proper attribution on all copies or derivative works.

  • You may not sell the materials or use them for commercial purposes.

  • If you create derivative works, adaptations, or improvements:

    • 1) You must distribute your modified materials under the same Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike terms

    • 2)You share your updated version with Tiered Supports Collaborative so the broader community may benefit.

  • Any shared adaptations must include the same permissions and restrictions to ensure the materials remain freely available for non-commercial use.

Attribution Requirements

When reproducing or adapting the materials, users must include a statement on all distributed versions—including slide decks, handouts, and derivative works—such as:
